Lovell to develop 73 new village homes

Lovell is set to develop 73 new village homes in Lincolnshire via a £13.2m residential scheme in Branston.

The Spires will deliver much-needed one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom houses to a site off Moor Lane on the southern edge of the village.

Lovell will build 47 homes for sale and a further 26 affordable homes for housing provider Longhurst Group.

The scheme will provide a mix of traditionally styled homes – including semi-detached and detached properties – suitable for local residents ranging from single people and couples to families.

Lovell is poised to begin preparatory work this year, and will begin construction in early 2018, with the overall development expected to be completed in early 2020.

The development is situated next to the village playing fields – which comprises an area of public open space – with shops and public transport within walking or cycling distance.

Robert Adams, regional managing director at Lovell, said: “We’re very excited to be preparing to start work on this major development, which is in a prime location, giving residents the opportunity to enjoy a thriving village in close proximity to Lincoln, with access to first-rate transport connections across the region and beyond.

“The new homes will significantly widen the choice of properties available to local homebuyers, delivering a range of stylish houses of varying sizes for sale, as well as helping to answer the demand for high-quality affordable homes.”

Mel Baker, project manager at Longhurst Group, added: “With the location being so close to the city of Lincoln and considering the variety of homes available, we expect the Spires to be a very popular scheme.

“It’s also another example of our excellent partnership with Lovell.”
