CapitalRise names new head of lending

Online property finance marketplace CapitalRise has appointed Steffan Goold (pictured above) as its head of lending.

Steffan has joined the business from Pluto Finance, where he was involved in the launch of three new lending platforms.

Prior to this, he served in the real estate finance team at the Bank of London and the Middle East (BLME) and is also a director and board member of the Association of Property Lenders.

At CapitalRise, Steffan will be responsible for all new lending and management of the loan portfolio, bringing his expertise in origination and relationship management.

“Steffan has established an impressive track record in real estate finance and will prove invaluable in developing bespoke funding solutions for our borrowers,” said Uma Rajah, CEO at CapitalRise.

“Unlike other lenders, we have a unique focus on prime real estate, with previous transactions in locations such as Eaton Square and Grosvenor Square, and we don’t shy away from complex projects and transaction structures.

“We are delighted to welcome Steffan to our team as we continue on our mission to deliver the fastest, most flexible and best tailored lending solutions to developers.”

CapitalRise was founded to address the challenge facing high-end property borrowers of accessing quick and cost-effective finance.

The platform covers both debt and equity funding and provides a range of products, including bridging and development loans.

Steffan said he was delighted to be part of an ambitious organisation, which he felt was revolutionising the property finance market.

“By offering both debt and equity funding – from bridging loans to development finance and exit loans – CapitalRise offers a complete solution for prime property developers.

“As traditional sources of lending have become increasingly difficult to access, CapitalRise offers an innovative, pre-funded solution built by developers for developers.

“I am excited to join a growing team and embark on a journey to better serve the developer community.”
