According to the latest data from Colliers, UK assets increased their share of the global standing assets market by 15.8% over the second half of the year. This involved $18.9bn being invested from outside EMEA, with $6bn invested within the region.
For context, the US was the second most popular standing asset market with $22bn invested during 2024.

The UK was less popular when it came to land and redevelopment investment however. On this metric, the UK ranked as the fifth most popular market with $821m invested in this time.
Over the second half of the year, this saw the UK’s market share increase by 2.2%.
In contrast, China was the most popular market for international land and redevelopment investment with $29.1bn invested during this period.
