Property Partner introduces new trading tool

Property investment marketplace Property Partner has launched a new trading tool which aims to inject liquidity into the residential property market.

Bid Manager will introduce automated, strategy-based trading which will allow investors to filter thousands of potential property investments instantly.

It is hoped that the tool will increase the number of shares in properties changing hands and drastically boost liquidity over time as Property Partner has ambitious plans to bring the same levels of liquidity to its residential property resale market as exists in the stock market.

“This is a very exciting moment for us because it represents the next step on the road to bringing the kind of liquidity you see in equity markets to the residential property market,” said Dan Gandesha, CEO of Property Partner.

“Property investing in the past was a slow and frustrating process, but our latest innovation turns that firmly on its head.”

Bid Manager will take the work out of using bids to invest on the platform by calculating what price investors should offer for each property based on their desired yield.

Investors can also leave unlimited bids on any number of properties on the table, to be executed when sellers drop their prices low enough, while the speed at which traders can make investments will also be increased.

Also, the introduction of ‘stock screening’ and bid placement aims to attract the most active traders.

“Never before have residential property investors been able to easily place pending orders across multiple properties at the same time, and watch as the platform fills those orders according to priorities set by the investor,” added Dan.

“We expect the Bid Manager to attract a lot of interest from traders who have been used to trading with this kind of flexibility across equities, currencies and commodities, but never in the residential property market.”
