Planning approval

£21m PRS development at Liverpool Waters gets go-ahead

Planning permission has been granted for a £21m residential development at Princes Dock.

The development at Liverpool Waters will house 105 one- and two-bedroom apartments with dedicated amenity space on the ground floor.

The Regenda Group and Peel Land and Property will now go ahead with plans for Plaza 1821 (named after the year Princes Dock opened).

The private rented sector (PRS) development will be the first of its kind for Peel Land and Property.

The Regenda Group has assigned its subsidiary Redwing Living to manage the development.

“We are delighted that planning permission has been granted for Plaza 1821,” said Martin Davies, director of development at Regenda Group.

“This landmark project for Regenda is our biggest ever single investment and an integral part of our ambitious strategy for the Liverpool city region.

“The plans for Plaza 1821 show a spacious, high-quality scheme which will be managed by our subsidiary Redwing Living.

“Liverpool Waters is set to be a spectacular development and we are hugely excited to be part of Liverpool waterfront’s future.”

Neil Baumber, development director for residential at Peel Land and Property, added: “This is the first PRS project where Peel Land and Property will be acting as the developer of the new apartment project and we are excited and delighted to be working with Regenda.

“Our vision is to create a waterfront for the world, bringing life back to the historic docklands, and this announcement brings us closer to achieving that ambition.”
