Modular eco buildings company to raise new capital on Crowdcube

Green Unit is aiming to address poor efficiency levels in the construction sector with investment in its modular manufacturing process.

The Oxfordshire-based modular building company is looking to raise £400,000 on Crowdcube, which will be used to scale up its manufacturing capability, quadruple production space and more than double its staff.

Green Unit has so far developed a unique ARC modular manufacturing process, which enables the components of buildings to be rapidly fabricated on production lines.

The company has also developed a series of interchangeable modules for creating a wide range of buildings for many different market sectors.

Green Unit’s ARC eco-friendly buildings offer comfort and space with minimal carbon impact and can be designed for the residential, office, retail and education sectors.

The ARC modular manufacturing process creates bespoke buildings at reduced costs.

Green Unit is offering Crowdcube investors an 11.43% equity stake for £400,000, based on a post-money valuation of £3.5m.

The directors of Green Unit have so far invested £320,000 and postponed salaries to fund prototyping.

Last year, Green Unit secured £300,000 investment from an environmental entrepreneur.
