The agreement is Samsung’s first hardware subscription deal within the build-to-rent sector.
Samsung Capital funded the kit as well as the on-going maintenance and will provide a turnkey solution on a hardware-as-a-service basis.
Quintain is responsible for delivering over 5,000 homes at its build-to-rent scheme at Wembley Park, which is managed by its residential management company Tipi.
Samsung will provide over 3,000 apartments with the latest ‘connected’ appliances, including smart fridge freezers, ovens, hobs, dishwashers and washer dryers.
The state-of-the-art appliances will also be installed in the shared social spaces.
The appliances include the ‘family hub’ fridges, which come with a built-in camera and track the freshness of food items.
Rajesh Shah, managing director at Tipi, said that this deal was excellent news for Tipi residents.
