The football club’s owner and chairman John Radford expressed his excitement at the plans for the 100-room hotel which have been submitted to Mansfield District Council.
The hotel has already received interest from local businesses and will feature a gym, bar, restaurant as well as two large areas which may be used for retail purposes.

“Everything has been very positive surrounding the news of the plans and the feedback we have received from people in Mansfield and local businesses,” said John.
“A new hotel of this quality next to the stadium will help the development of the football club and engrave the club and the town further on to the map.
"It will be great for Mansfield and will create jobs and opportunities for businesses to use greater facilities in the town instead of heading out of the area.”
Should the plans be accepted, Mansfield Town expects the hotel to be open by the start of the 2020/21 Football League season.
