The project has been designed by AEW and the new homes will offer the local community a mixed tenure of 80 shared ownership, 29 outright sales and 38 rent-to-buy apartments.
Construction is due to start next month and Anthony Dillon, managing director at Willmott Dixon in the North, said it was delighted to be working with Garden City Design and Build to create new homes in Wythenshawe.

“As a local company, it is great to be back in Wythenshawe and we will aim to use local companies wherever possible to deliver the project.”
Garden City Design and Build is part of Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG) and the project is the latter’s largest development to date.
“We are delighted to launch this exciting new project and create much-needed affordable housing for this area extending choices for local people wishing to rent or buy,” said Nigel Wilson, group chief executive at WCHG.
“We have a diverse and vibrant community with a young and growing population; this development of 147 new homes will be another landmark development for the group following our Village 135 extra care scheme.”
