Key Land Developments reveals plans for luxury housing scheme

Key Land Developments has submitted a revised planning application to Stafford Borough Council to convert a neglected office building into luxury apartments in the centre of Stafford.

This latest application will see the number of apartments increase from 20 to 24 as well as the addition of a residents’ lift.

The original planning application for the scheme was approved by the council in February.

The development – known as the Foregate Building – will deliver one- and two-bedroom apartments in the heart of the town centre in a building which has stood empty for over 18 months.

Kevin Sharkey, director at Key Land Capital PLC – which is made up of Key Land Ventures and Key Land Developments – said that it was really pleased with the revised plans and excited at the prospect of creating high-quality homes to replace an unloved office building.

“We have been looking at Stafford as a great place to invest for some time.

“It is a growing town and has a strong demand for luxury apartments in a central location for young professionals.

“The Foregate Building will offer high-quality accommodation, but will still be affordable for first-time buyers.

“We can’t wait to get started in the new year.”
