MJ Gleeson CEO steps down

The board of MJ Gleeson PLC has announced that CEO Jolyon Harrison has stepped down from the board and left the company with immediate effect.

Jolyon joined the board of the urban housing regeneration specialist in July 2010 and was appointed CEO on 1st July 2012.

Following discussions with Jolyon regarding his remuneration as well as succession planning, the board concluded that there wasn’t a mutually acceptable basis for Jolyon to continue as CEO.

The board has announced that James Thomson — who was formerly chief executive at Keepmoat Homes Ltd — will join the board as interim CEO with immediate effect.

The board is currently initiating a search process for a long-term replacement and has also re-affirmed that the group anticipates that it will deliver annual results in line with expectations.
