Together’s study found that developers thought that the biggest opportunities were in houses (91%) and flats (80%).
More than half (57%) believed the North East had the most opportunities, followed by the North West (42%), Wales (40%) and Scotland (38%).

Andrew Charnley, head of corporate relationships at Together (pictured above), said: “Given the uncertainty around Brexit and the prospect of tougher economic headwinds, it’s encouraging to see developers remaining so bullish, particularly when it comes to the North.
“Our own experience reflects these findings having supported a significant number of new developments in the North with a healthy future pipeline, too.”
The survey also found that 51% of developers believed there was a shortage of available sites, while 47% thought there was insufficient access to finance.
