FP Show to feature symposium on future of development for hotels, PBSA and serviced apartments

The Finance Professional Show (FP Show) on 6th November at Olympia London will host a session focusing on the future of development for hotels, PBSA and serviced apartments.

The event — which takes place from 2.30–3.15pm — will assess the opportunities presented by the construction and funding of these assets in the UK.

Speakers involved will include Vedrana Bilanovic Riley, CEO at Ciel Capital; Ranjeev Kumar, partner at Watson Farley & Williams; Sky Mapson and Emma Burke, both deal origination at Maslow Capital; Tarek Jumah, associate director at Future Generation; and Piers Brown, CEO at International Hospitality Media.

PBSA is still an incredibly exciting space to be in,” said Tarek.

“We’re going to be discussing how superior service and quality of living has transformed this sector in recent years, which areas are at capacity and where future growth will come from.

“The funding landscape has also changed considerably in the past decade, for the better.

“With growth in other areas of the property world cooling, we’ll be identifying where the risks are and where they are not.”

Sky added that the PBSA sector had evolved “enormously” over the past five years.

“…While it has become more of a mainstream asset class, it still presents an exciting opportunity for investors and developers alike.

“We will be discussing where we see the opportunities and challenges from a development perspective, as well as what we see as differentiators in the sector.

“We will also be discussing some of the current trends in the space from an end-user perspective and how the needs of today’s students are changing.”

According to Ranjeev, financing in these sectors has “matured considerably” and its availability is still “evolving”.

“Technological and demographic changes — as well as changes in consumer preferences — have increased the need for product differentiation and contributed to additional complexity.”

The FP Show is free to attend and visitor registration, as well as the exhibitor list and more information on the exhibition, is available at www.financeprofessionalshow.co.uk.
