James Pikett

Project Etopia names development director

Offsite housebuilding specialist Project Etopia has named James Pikett (pictured above) as its development director.

James — who has over 10 years of experience in the industry — joins from Berkeley St Edward, where he was head of development.

He previously held positions at Weston Homes, Taylor Wimpey and Countryside, and worked across a diverse portfolio of complex, mixed-use projects.

In his new role, James will be responsible for leading Project Etopia’s acquisition of new land, engaging with local authorities on the planning and delivery of new homes and heading the team that will drive forward the development process.

“We will be relying on [James’s] extensive experience to identify the right opportunities for schemes that we hope will become destination developments for both ecologically conscious homeowners as well as those who just like the energy bill savings these properties offer,” said Joseph Daniels, CEO at Project Etopia.

James added: “It’s clear that the environment and homes that are ‘beyond zero carbon’ are going to come to define this sector.

“Helping to put a relatively young company like Project Etopia at the forefront of this pretty seismic shift in the industry is exactly the challenge I was looking for.”
