Long Eaton concrete plant with planning for 20 homes sold to Cameron Homes

Property consultancy Fisher German has agreed the sale on behalf of CEMEX of an old concrete plant in Attenborough, Long Eaton, to developer Cameron Homes.

The consultancy firm was involved in the deal from the start and secured planning permission for the homes to be built on the brownfield site.

Its rural team oversaw the management of the site – which will see 20 homes built on it – to ensure the land was in good order.

The Staffordshire-based developer secured the land, after a competitive tender process, due to their attractive development plan.

Matthew Handford, development surveyor at Fisher German, who negotiated the deal, said: “We are very pleased to have sold this site on behalf of CEMEX to Cameron Homes.

“The site was perfect for residential homes to be constructed on it thanks to our rural team managing the land carefully, so we were very confident we could achieve planning permission for CEMEX.

“Now the land has been sold, we are looking forward to Cameron Homes contributing much-needed housing supply in the area.”

Chris Wickham, land director at Cameron Homes, said: “We are delighted to have secured this land in what will be our first venture in the Nottingham area.

“We are now looking ahead to securing detailed planning permission to start work on what we believe will be a real asset to the local community in terms of additional much needed homes and homes that combine quality, tradition and craftsmanship.”
