Asim Shirwani

Lendhub names new CCO

Lendhub has appointed Asim Shirwani (pictured above) to the newly created role of chief commercial officer.

His most recent role was at LendInvest, where he was involved with the origination and execution of residential development and pre-construction bridging facilities.

He also held various senior positions at Metro Bank, including head of residential investment finance.

As part of his role, Asim will be assisting with Lendhub’s growth and product expansion plans.

“It is a new position created to take the business into the next phase of its planned growth and I am very much looking forward to being a part of its success,” he said.

“Having spent the best part of the last decade in a challenger bank environment and, more recently in specialist lending, it is clear to me what intermediaries and borrowers crave is a common-sense approach to lending supported by first-class, tech-driven customer service.”

Christopher Adamou, managing director at Lendhub, commented: “We are very excited to have Asim join the Lendhub team.

“He brings a wealth of experience that will be pivotal in achieving our future growth plans.

“While 2020 has been filled with uncertainty, we have continued to hire talented and experienced individuals to strengthen our service and offering to our customers.”

In November last year, Lendhub launched its online loan processing platform, myLendhub, in order to radically improve the lending process.
