Sarwjit will join the company from Centrica Consumer, where he worked as CEO, and was also a board member at Centrica PLC.
Prior to this, he worked at technology and management consultancy, Booz Allen & Hamilton.

Commenting on his appointment, Sarwjit said: “[St Modwen] is a strong business with considerable opportunities to leave a lasting legacy by creating homes, establishing new communities, and delivering high quality industrial and logistics spaces.

Danuta thanked Rob Hudson for his “strong leadership” as interim chief executive over the past six months.
