The purpose-built care home will be created by Urban Village Healthcare on a waterside site and will deliver 70 en-suite bedrooms and seven supported living apartments over four storeys.

Each floor will have its own external terrace overlooking the Leeds Liverpool canal and conservation area to the town centre.

The scheme will also feature communal facilities, such as a lounge, hairdressers and a gym, as well as associated parking and gardens. 

Once completed, the care home will be let to Bracebridge Care Group for a minimum of 25 years.
