A topping out ceremony marked the milestone, which has taken place only 15 months after construction work commenced.
The 12-acre regeneration project is delivering 438 eco-efficient houses and apartments.
Accessed off Belgrave Middleway (A4540), just outside the city’s Low Emission Zone, 65% of the landmark development has already been matched with buyers at the off-plan stage.
Designed by Franklin Ellis Architects, the scheme rises to 11 storeys at Haden Circus, with the upper floor apartments enjoying views across the city of Birmingham and its suburbs.
Priced from £190,000, the homes benefit from air source heat pumps, natural ventilation, low energy appliances, and EV car charging points, to enable occupiers to lower their carbon footprint and household bills.
Once complete, Belgrave Village will offer residents access to a gym, co-working space, screening room, and concierge service.
All 174 houses at the scheme are sold with a parking space, while apartment purchasers can buy one.
Craig Gee, construction director at Wavensmere Homes, said: “Belgrave Village is one of the most active regeneration sites in central Birmingham, as we have between 200-250 construction professionals working on site five days per week.
“We were thrilled to handover the keys to the first residents during the summer, and now our project team has been able to celebrate reaching the highest point of the development.
“Thank you to the skill and dedication of our entire project team and supply chain for working with us to deliver this complex development.
All homes, residents’ amenities, and over six-acres of public open space, will be completed during spring 2025.”
Cllr John Cotton, leader at Birmingham City Council, said: “Constructing homes on vacant brownfield land is critical to delivering the 4,000 homes per year that are needed across Birmingham to fulfil our city’s housing needs.
“Thank you to Wavensmere Homes and Galliard Homes for the opportunity to meet the project team and appreciate the vistas from the highest point.”
