Dandara Living receives green light to develop City Wharf mixed-use scheme

Dandara Living has been granted planning permission by Glasgow City Council to develop City Wharf, a development of apartments and residential amenity, student accommodation and commercial units, located in Anderston Quay.

Situated on a derelict site overlooking the Kingston Bridge, City Wharf will feature nearly 500 one-, two- and three-bedroom energy efficient homes for rent and 490 student bedspaces alongside units for commercial use.

Designed by architects, Manson, the ground and first floors will include associated amenities such as a cycle hub, large open plan gym, residents lounge, and co-working spaces with views onto the River Clyde.

The development will also feature a new urban park for use by residents and the wider local community.

Rachel Allwood, planning director at Dandara Living, said: “We’re delighted City Wharf has been given the green light.

“It will play a key role in the significant transformation this part of the city is undergoing and help to bring more people into the area extending the vibrancy of the Clyde waterfront.”
