Crest Nicholson to pay for up to £15m worth of remediation costs on four of its sites

In housebuilder Crest Nicholson’s latest trading update, the firm has revealed that it has become aware of certain build defects on four of its sites which will require up to £15m worth of remediation.

The Group became aware of the defects since the publication of its FY23 results, with the sites being completed prior to 2019 when the Group closed its Regeneration and London divisions.

The Board has decided to appoint third party consultants to provide greater assurance on the adequacy of current provisions around these and other sites completed prior to 2019.

A further update will be provided at the Group's interim results in June.
