Persimmon sees ten percent homes completion decline but rise in net private sales between Q1 2023 and Q1 2024



Persimmon has seen a 10% decline in homes completions from Q1 2023 to Q1 of this year, despite a 6% rise in net private sales rate.


The group delivered a total of 1,027 homes across the first three months of 2024, compared with 1,136 last year, while net sales was at 0.66 (0.61 excluding bulk sales).

Land spend fell in Q1 2024 to £145m from £173m last year, while the amount of land under the company’s control fell from 86,400 plots in (31st March 2023) to 82,500 plots of this year (31st March 2024).

Dean Finch, group CEO at Persimmon, said: “We are making good progress in expanding our outlet network and we will continue to position the business for success, maintaining our focus on quality and customer service, and converting our land holdings into active developments.”
