Maslow co-founder Chris Blowers joins Zenzic

Zenzic Capital has appointed Chris Blowers (pictured above) as a senior adviser.

Chris joins the firm as part of its plans to expand lending activity across its property development finance, special situations, and Zenzic Estate Planning Service strategies.

In addition to co-founding Maslow Capital in 2010 — where he spent over a decade — Chris has also previously held senior roles at Royal Bank of Scotland, Allied Irish Bank, and Investec Bank.

He will work alongside head of real estate development finance lending Simon Brown, who joined Zenzic in March.

Simon’s team was also bolstered by two additional hires made earlier in May.

Chris and Simon worked together previously at Investec, where Chris was head of structured property finance and Simon was head of private client, property and corporate lending.

Zenzic has recruited them for their combined experience to help the lender source and structure a wide variety of transactions.

“Chris is very well known in the industry with an impressive track record of originating and executing deals, as well as building successful businesses,” said Nadine Buckland, CEO at Zenzic.

“His expertise and insight will be invaluable in supporting Tom [Lloyd-Jones, chief investment officer] and I as we expand our lending activities and secure Zenzic’s position as a leading real estate investment manager.”

After departing Maslow in 2021, Chris became a partner at debt advisory business Voltaire Financial.

Chris commented: “Zenzic has an outstanding reputation as a straightforward, flexible lender that is well positioned to help SME developers navigate the challenging current macroeconomic environment.

“I have known the highly regarded leadership team for many years and believe that they have the opportunity to grow into a leading player in the sector.”
