CLS unveils 200-home plan for Vauxhall site

CLS is submitting plans to build up to 200 new homes at its Citadel Place development in Vauxhall, London.

The mixed-use development plans include 180-200 new homes, PBSA with 450 bedrooms and retail units.

Otherwise known as Spring Gardens, the site is currently home to office space built in the nineties.

Pedestrian-friendly pathways between Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens and Pedlar’s Park will also be created.

Fredrik Widlund, CEO of CLS, said of the plans: “We envisage a place where people can live and thrive; supporting the community within Vauxhall.

“CLS has operated and invested in the Vauxhall area for over 35 years and continues to work closely with the London Borough of Lambeth, residents and the local business community and we are excited to now start on the next phase of the development.”

CLS is anticipating vacancy in the four buildings by 2026. The firm has partnered with architects Allies and Morrison to design Citadel Place.

The first public consultation session will be held on 18 July between 4 and 7pm. This will be in-person and head at a recent CLS development in Vauxhall - the Coade, 97 Vauxhall, London, SE11 5EL.
