Countrywide appoints new build director



Countrywide Surveying Services has appointed Morné Jacobs (pictured above), as new build director, a newly created role.


Morné will be tasked with prompting and enhancing Countrywide’s new build offerings across the UK with a key focus on supporting net-zero goals.

As well as advocating various construction methods, Morné will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders such as mortgage lenders and housebuilders.

Morné joins from Lloyds Banking Group where he spent 24 years, most recently specialising as the bank’s national housing development manager. In his new role, he will report to Jayne Coppinger, director client relationships at Countrywide.

“[Morné] is widely recognised for his strong leadership abilities, business development acumen, and coaching skills,” said Matthew Cumber, managing director at Countrywide.

“These qualities have contributed to his success in fostering strong relationships and driving growth over his many years in the industry. We look forward to the impact his leadership will bring to our continued success in the new build sector.”
