Persimmon secures approval for 74 Cardiff homes

Persimmon has gained planning permission for 74 new homes at its Llanilltern Village on the west of Cardiff.

The new phase of this development will be known as ‘Glan y Coed’ and provide four and five-bedroom detached open market homes for local families.

These will be available for purchase in 2025 through Persimmon’s sister brand, Charles Church.

The new 7.3 acre site will feature additional space for ecological enhancements, community sport facilities and a playground.

On receiving this planning permission, Lee Hawker - managing director of Persimmon Homes East Wales - said: “This achievement is a testament to our project team and the collaborative efforts with the local community, officers, and stakeholders. Together, we look forward to delivering a further 74 new high-quality new homes for local families in Cardiff.

“We look forward to continuing our work with Cardiff Council and the local community as Glan y Coed and the wider Llanilltern Village site progresses, delivering high-quality new homes in a sustainable community for local people.”

These new homes will be built alongside ‘The Parish’ development at the site, where Persimmon has two, three, four and five-bedroom homes available for purchase. The prices of these properties range from £189,995 to £469,995.
