Persimmon completes 239-home land purchase in Midlands

Persimmon has completed the purchase for land that will deliver up to 239 homes in Leicestershire.

The site in Newbold Verdon will include public open space, as part of a commitment to enhance the area’s green space and biodiversity.

The housebuilder is pledging up to £2.1m in the nearby area, with £1m to be put towards education improvements and £160,000 set aside for community healthcare provision.

“Our upcoming new community will bring a wide range of new benefits to the area, including major improvements to local roads, public open spaces, healthcare, and education,” said Dan Endersby, managing director at Persimmon Homes North Midlands.

“Of course, what we do is about so much more than building quality homes. This development will not only generate significant job opportunities throughout the lifespan of the project but will also leave a lasting legacy of community benefits for the people of Newbold Verdon and the surrounding areas.”
