Persimmon submits plans for 331-home development

Persimmon has submitted plans for a 331-home development in Wakefield.

The plans for the site, in Normanton on Wakefield Road, have been submitted to the local council.

These will range from bungalows to two, three and four-bed properties. Thirty three of these will be transferred to a local housing provider.

All the houses will be built with EV chargers and air source pumps.

“This development will provide high quality new homes for local homebuyers, built to a high design standard in keeping with the local area,” said James Parkin, land director of Persimmon West Yorkshire.

“With the need for new housing rightly high up the political agenda, we’re pleased to be working with Wakefield Council and local stakeholders to deliver homes for first-time buyers, families and downsizers alike.”
