Head of real estate Darren Richards has left to become CIO Of LondonMetric Property PLC.

In his absence, head of strategy and investment Kelly Cleveland has been appointed to the new combined role of head of real estate and investment.

Kelly has been with the group since 2011 and joined the executive committee in 2020. She will assume her new role in October.

“Kelly has a wealth of real estate experience, leading key transactions such as the sale of our Meadowhall stake earlier this year and our joint venture partnerships with the likes of Allianz and AustralianSuper - she has also been instrumental in growing our presence in retail parks as we have doubled down on this attractive sub-sector,” said Simon Carter, CEO of British Land.
