The office will be headed up by Birmingham-based lending director Rav Kudhail (pictured above).
This new hub will be located on the city’s Colmore Row and act as a gateway to the wider Midlands region.
From here, the firm is planning to extend its provision of custom finance solutions to developers in Coventry, Leicester, Nottingham and even further afield towards Leeds and Manchester.
“I’ve been based in Birmingham for the last three years and I am proud of the relationships we have built up with developers, intermediaries and professional partners,” said Rav.

“The fact we’ve delivered £150m of lending in the region so far, is evidence of our commitment to being the lender of choice to finance a range of asset classes across central England and the North.”
Atelier’s £150m of work in the region has included a £7.2m loan to convert a Grade II listed building in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, creating 32 apartments.
Elsewhere in the city, Atelier has written an £8.5m loan on the conversion of a former office block into new residential and commercial units.
In the Midlands, Atelier has also written a £26.2m loan on a 196-studio PBSA development near the University of Warwick and a £12.4m loan on a 76-bed care home in Worcester.
“The opening of our Birmingham office underscores our commitment to funding property development in the region,” said Chris Gardner, CEO at Atelier.
“We have already delivered custom finance solutions to a diverse range of residential, PBSA and care projects in the Midlands and our Birmingham office launch only consolidates our plans for growth.”
