Persimmon purchases 14.9 acre site for 193 Yorkshire homes

Persimmon has completed the purchase for a 14.9 acre plot in East Riding, as part of a 193-home development.

Situated off Holme Road in Market Weighton, Persimmon was granted planning permission to build the homes on the site in August 2024.

The development will be called Bradley Park and feature a mix of eight bungalows and houses, with homes ranging from one to four-bedrooms. All properties will have EV chargers installed.

The site will also feature 2.2 acres of public open space and a children’s play area.

Persimmon will make contributions of £750,000 to local infrastructure, which includes £320,000 towards primary education in the area.

“We’re delighted to be bringing much-needed homes to Market Weighton, designed with local buyers in mind,” said Joel Frank, land director for Persimmon Yorkshire.

“This development offers high-quality housing options for families and individuals, alongside significant investment in community infrastructure."
