Simon was CEO from 2018 to 2024 and oversaw development when the site opened in October 2022.
He has been awarded an OBE for his contribution to the community, heritage and real estate through restoration of the Grade II listed building and its surrounding area.

According to a release announcing the OBE win, restoration of the Battersea Power Station has created over 6,000 jobs so far and attracted 24 million visitors to date.
Commenting on the achievement, Simon said the site’s progress was due to “an incredible effort by everyone involved” and that the “honour is for all of Team Battersea and our Malaysian shareholders without whom none of this would have been achieved.”
