Bromford secures Gloucestershire plot for 95 homes

Bromford has secured an 11-acre site in Gloucestershire with plans to deliver 95 new homes.

The land in Highnam, on the outskirts of Gloucester, already has outline planning permission for these properties.

This follows Bromford’s recent partnership with Vistry for a 695-home development in Birmingham.

Bromford is proposing that 47 of these homes will be made available at affordable rent, with 48 designated for affordable home ownership through its shared ownership scheme.

These properties will consist of two, three and four-bedroom homes with Bromford also intending to construct a play area and green areas on the site.

The housing association is now drawing up detailed plans which it aims to submit to Tewkesbury Borough Council early in 2025.

Bromford’s in-house construction team will develop the site, with the aim to start work early in 2026.

Adam Frontczak, head of land at Bromford, commented: “Securing this land in Highnam is another significant step of our goal to increase the amount of affordable housing in the West of England.

“We have aspirations to build an additional 11,000 homes by 2032 and are focused on acquiring high-quality sites like this to support our long-term commitment to deliver affordable homes in the communities that need them the most.”

Bromford has been actively buying up land in the region over the past 12 months, with over 600 homes to be delivered on these sites.
