GREYKITE acquires portfolios, unveils SFR brand

The GREYKITE European Real Estate Fund has acquired two single-family rental (SFR) home portfolios, while launching its new ‘Uniqhomes’ brand.

The double acquisition, buying portfolios from Keepmoat and Barratt Redrow, has been made on behalf of GREYKITE’s recently launched £750m JV.

The JV has acquired a six-site portfolio from Keepmoat with over 250 homes across Yorkshire.

Elsewhere, three sites have been acquired from Barratt Redrow with over 130 homes in Lancashire and Shropshire.

This takes the JV’s portfolio to over 1,000 homes across 26 sites since its November 2024 launch.

The JV has secured committed senior financing from NatWest for this entire portfolio, with the JV also converting its asset holding structure into a non-traded UK REIT.

Uniqhomes has taken possession over 200 of these SFR homes with a further 700 anticipated for delivery by the end of 2025.

“The launch of Uniqhomes and the continued growth of our UK SFR strategy is a further example of GREYKITE’s ability to build and scale platforms in our high conviction sectors,” said Michael Abel, CEO and founder of GREYKITE.

“We look forward to developing the Uniqhomes brand as we continue to build a differentiated SFR platform, and we remain very pleased with the significant recent institutional investment activity across the sector.”
