Vistry signs 60 affordable homes contract

Vistry has signed a contract to deliver 60 affordable homes to Oldbury council.

The development on Tilford Road was previously owned by ASDA.

This site will accommodate two, three and four-bedroom homes with planning permission granted in April 2025.

The housebuilder engaged a team of ecologists to conduct surveys which informed its development proposals, and the scheme was developed in accordance with Natural England guidance and legislation.

Plans for the development include retaining and enhancing the watercourse, creation of a green buffer planted with native species to increase biodiversity, and the inclusion of replacement trees.

“We are thrilled to be working on this development which will not only meet the housing needs of the community but will protect wildlife and ecology whilst bringing investment for services for the area,” said Michael Moore, managing director at Vistry North West Midlands.

“We're excited to be a part of Oldbury’s growth and to be entrusted with the build of these much-needed affordable homes which will help meet the significant housing shortage in the area and create a thriving and sustainable community.”
