This agreement sets out conditional work to regenerate The Martlets Shopping Centre in Burgess Hill.
Planning consent is already in place to deliver 172 homes on the site, as well as a 102-room hotel and 50,000 sq ft of retail space including a 21,000 sq ft food store.
The JV will be formalised once a series of conditions have been realised including the sale of the residential site which is under offer, and pre-lets of the food store and hotel for which the legal negotiations are well advanced.
It is anticipated that the agreement’s conditionality will be satisfied by the end of March 2026, with construction due to commence summer 2026 and complete in 2028.
