The Hertfordshire Rental and BTR Market Snapshot report has assessed the fundamental characteristics in this area of the UK that has a population of 1.2 million.
GAA Living reports that the rental market in the area is characterised by limited supply of high-quality, purpose-built rental stock and sustained demand for modern one- and two-bedroom homes.
In addition to a population that has grown 20% by 2000, the county has employment activity of 83.4% and gross disposable household income per head of £30,900.

Construction activity in the region is mixed with large-scale regeneration efforts in towns like Watford and Stevenage, but lagging BTR delivery in areas like North Hertfordshire and Welwyn Hatfield.
Fundamentally, these towns all benefit from fast transport links to London which GAA Living points to as further supporting the argument for BTR investment delivery in Hertfordshire.
“Hertfordshire has clearly emerged as a key commuter belt growth market,” said Ronak Rawal, senior director at GAA Living (pictured above).
“Driven by strong demand fundamentals, regeneration activity and its strategic position within the UK’s innovation corridor, it’s a destination that demands attention from investors seeking stable long-term value.”
