West Northamptonshire Council approved the application, which will see the homes built at the Northampton South Sustainable Urban Extension (NSSUE) site.
The housebuilder is already constructing approximately 1,000 mixed tenure homes at the site alongside a new local centre with shops and sports pitches.
The new development forms the final phase of the NSSUE and will be delivered by Vistry and Latimer under their joint venture, alongside Lagan Homes.
