Vistry enters Stonewater partnership for Cheltenham homes

Vistry has entered a partnership with Stonewater for a 250-home development in Cheltenham, with 158 of these to be affordable.

The development is located off Harp Hill in Battledown, and will have a range of tenures, including social rented, affordable rented, shared ownership, as well as open-market sale.

Stonewater’s offering will include one-bedroom apartments, one-bedroom bungalows, and two- to five-bedroom houses.

Vistry will deliver a complementary mix of two to five-bedroom homes for open market sale.

As part of its commitment to the local community, Vistry will contribute over £5m for local infrastructure and services.

“This development represents a fantastic opportunity to deliver much-needed homes in Cheltenham, while investing in the local community and environment,” said Supriya Ray, regional managing director at Vistry Cotswolds.

“Our partnership with Stonewater continues to go from strength to strength, and together we’re creating places people are proud to call home.”

Matthew Crucefix, group director of development at Stonewater, added: “The homes at Battledown will provide a range of tenures to meet the diverse housing needs of the community, while offering extensive outdoor spaces and a public art installation for customers to enjoy.

“We’re pleased that this new development allows us to provide greater housing stability and opportunity for customers in and around Cheltenham, which helps them to remain living in the area they know and love.”
