Cameron Homes granted planning approval for gated 'millionaire's row' in Nottinghamshire

Cameron Homes has received planning approval from Rushcliffe Borough Council for a second phase of its Sylvan development in the historic Nottinghamshire village of Ruddington.

The developer said it will create a gated "millionaire's row.’

The approval means five executive villa-style residences will be constructed, each to be priced in excess of £1m.

To be known as ‘The Croft’, the new phase of development will be accessed off Loughborough Road, via a separate gated entrance.

The 0.49ha (1.21-acre) site has been designed for Staffordshire-headquartered Cameron Homes by Pegasus architects to complement the adjacent £18m Sylvan development.

The five new properties will each boast generous rear gardens, a double garage, three additional parking spaces and visitor parking.

Ranging in size from 2,390 to 3,522 sq ft, three of the houses will have four bedrooms — with multiple en-suites and living and entertaining space — with the rest being five-bedroom designs.

The detached homes will be launched onto the market next year.

Emily Christie, head of planning at Cameron Homes, said: “We’re really pleased to receive the green light to construct this eco-friendly development, as there is certainly demand for bespoke homes in Ruddington.

“These five executive residences will be constructed to a high specification, equipped with an array of energy saving and smart home technology.

“We’re looking forward to breaking ground for The Croft and delivering this showpiece development.”
