Regentsmead leads on speed

Award-winning lender Regentsmead has completed two big deals on the back of its fast service.

The firm helped a Derbyshire-based developer who had become disillusioned with the slow response he had received from his bank in regards to his new build of four detached houses. The quad had been purchased for £1.3 million with a build cost of £1.2 million and a GDV of £4.1 million.

The developer client, Tim, said he chose Regentsmead over high street banks because they did “exactly what they said they would do.”

“The speed and professionalism with how they work is amazing, within 14 days the funds were in my bank. Credit due to all the team who knew the urgency of the project," Tim added.

CEO at Regentsmead, James Bloom, said the deal to them was a “no brainer”, even though he regularly sees clients being “messed around by traditional high street funders.”

James described the project as “a great builder with an excellent product and we look forward to working with him for many years to come.”

“At Regentsmead we are all about building long term relationships,” James continued.

“We have been around for a while and part of our ethos is that we want to be working with our clients for many years to come.”

Regentsmead applied this logic to another recent client who required assistance with the purchase, as well as full build costs, of a project in Little Aston, West Midlands.

The project involved the construction of two detached houses, with a site cost of £1.4 million, build costs of £1.4 million and a GDV of £2 million.

Regentsmead had worked with the developer client on four previous projects, who initially described the lender as “too good to be true” having spent months trying to get finance from his bank.

“The speed at which Regentsmead dealt with us was a bit of a shock to the system,” the client added.

“After initially helping [the client] out of quite a tricky situation, he is now building luxury housing of the highest standard,” James said. “We can’t wait to see the finished product.”
