An advisor firm specialising in structuring financing transactions such as mezzanine debt and senior debt has been targeted by the FCA.
Aldershire Limited is believed to be providing financial services and products in the UK without the authorisation of the regulator. The watchdog has asked individuals to be wary of dealing with this firm.
Based at Kemp House, 152 City Road, London, the unauthorised firm claims to provide corporate finance and advisory services and states it has long-term experience in the capital markets.
The FCA has reminded the public that almost all firms and individuals offering, promoting or selling financial services in the UK have to be authorised by them.
“We strongly advise you to only deal with financial firms that are authorised by us, and check the Financial Services Register to ensure they are,” said the FCA.
“You should also be aware that if you give money to an unauthorised firm, you will not be covered by the Financial Ombudsman Service or Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) if things go wrong.”
Other trading names associated with Aldershire Limited include Aldershire Capital and Aldershire Global Trading.
