The leasehold for a hotel inspired by the Beatles has been acquired for £13.8m.
Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc (M&C) announced that it has agreed to acquire a long leasehold interest in the Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool.
The hotel, located in Liverpool’s Cavern Quarter, contains 110 guest rooms and suites and has remained in the lease with Liverpool City Council for over 100 years.
Kwek Leng Beng, Chairman of M&C’s Board of Directors, said: “This unique acquisition which will be supported by M&C’s existing management infrastructure, further expands the group’s hotel portfolio to one the leading leisure and business destinations in the UK.”
“The city is undergoing an economic regeneration and we are proud to be a part of that.”
The completion of the acquisition is subject to standard purchase price adjustments and was expected to take place by 19th August.
