Three directors from the same company have been disqualified from acting as a director.
Marcus Julian Malanaphy, 56, of Lymington, was not formally a director of Southern Ventilation Limited but was involved in the day-to-day management of the firm, including authorising payments to creditors, is the latest member of the firm to be disqualified.
The Insolvency Service found that Malanaphy, along with two other directors, caused Southern Ventilation to trade to the unreasonable risk of creditors while knowing, or ought to have known, that the company was insolvent.
John McCormick, 42, of Bournemouth and Martin William France, 36, of Bournemouth, the formally appointed directors of the firm, had previously signed disqualification undertakings which banned them from acting as company directors.
Mr Malanaphy’s eight-year disqualification comes after his actions led to creditor liabilities of £424,409.
Sue MacLeod, Chief Investigator at the Insolvency Service, said: “Mr Malanaphy acted with a complete disregard for the creditors and left individuals and traders out of pocket.
“He could not have acted as he did without the assistance provided by Mr McCormick and Mr France.”
Southern Ventilation provided ventilation and ductwork services to the construction industry.
