Housebuilding group Galliford Try has revealed that its Partnerships business has been appointed to build two new affordable housing contracts.

Partnerships was chosen by Birmingham Municipal Housing Trust to construct a new £16m 116-home development in the north of the city which will create 58 affordable homes.

It will also extend a successful relationship with the ExtraCare Charitable Trust and Partnerships by building a £45m village in High Wycombe which will contain 260 one and two-bedroom apartments situated around a centralised health and leisure facility.

Peter Truscott, Chief Executive of Galliford Try, said: "Our Partnerships business is rapidly turning into a real success story and these latest contracts demonstrate the trust that clients have in Partnerships to deliver the homes they need across a range of different housing types and tenures.”

In addition to the housing contracts, Partnerships has been appointed to the North Yorkshire County Council’s Extra Care Housing Programme Framework which has an anticipated value of up to £650m over six years.

It is also among the contractors chosen for the Hyde Housing Group Main Contractor Framework Agreement which is expected to be worth up to £1bn.

Partnerships has been selected for five of the eight lots available.
