Peritus Corporate Finance has become a shareholder in the hotel development company Ciel Capital.

The London-based advisory firm also revealed that it has appointed Vedrana Riley, CEO of Ciel Capital, to a new role as Head of Hotels and Leisure for Peritus as it looks to expand its advisory services.

Ciel recently secured its first development project for a new build airport hotel in Aberdeen, Scotland with a gross development value of £23m.

The scheme is expected to deliver 156 beds and will be operated by the Redefine BDL under an Ibis franchise.

Before joining Ciel, Vedrana, who is fluent in five languages, worked as a corporate finance manager at Pacific Investments and was previously managing director of IPIN Global Capital and Bridge Point Ventures UK.

In 2015, Peritus secured over £450m of facilities for its clients and the group says this figure is expected to grow significantly during the coming year.
