CBRE has partnered with a specialist technology firm to offer virtual viewings of commercial offices in the UK.
The two-year exclusive deal with Virtual Walkthrough will allow potential occupiers and investors to take a 360-degree interactive tour of properties on the market.
CBRE said it expects the state-of-the-art technology to “significantly speed up” the sale and lease of office space by reducing the need for expensive and time-consuming site visits, particularly for international occupiers and investors.
Richard Smart, Senior Director and Head of West End Office Leasing at CBRE, said: “At CBRE we are continually seeking to adopt new and innovative ways in which we market commercial properties on behalf of our clients.
“As consumers, we’re seeing a transformation across so many sectors thanks to digital advancements and commercial property should be no different.”
Virtual Walkthrough’s technology has been compared to Google’s Streetview and has already contributed towards several major international deals.
James Morris-Manuel, Co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer of Virtual Walkthrough, said: “In the competitive office market, leasing agents are starting to seek new ways in which to interact with the spaces around them, as well as creating new and unique avenues to present and view properties.
“Virtual Walkthrough gives prospective occupiers access to the next big thing in commercial property marketing.”
