Bellway completed the sale of 4,188 homes in the year to 31 January 2016, an 11.6% increase on the 3,754 it completed in the previous year.

The housing developer also reported a 5.3% improvement in its forward book which rose to £1.027bn and a 17% increase in the average selling price which rose to a record £257,000.
During the period in question, Bellway also entered into contracts to acquire 5,445 plots across 45 sites, compared with 3,824 plots across 42 sites in 2015.
Ted Ayres, Chief Executive of Bellway, said: “We have made a significant investment in land at attractive rates of return to secure future growth and this, together with the positive market conditions and government support for new housing, should lead to further value creation for our shareholders.”
Bellway revealed that it has a strong pipeline of future acquisitions with heads of terms agreed on some 4,700 plots.
