Property investment firm raises £8m for London development

Property investment firm Cogress has raised £8m in 22 days for a mixed-use project in London.

The development on Finchley Road in Camden comprises 16,536 sq ft of residential property and 1,859 sq ft of commercial space.

The completed project is expected to fetch more than £18m at sale, with an exit date set for January 2018.

Tal Orly, founder and CEO of Cogress UK, said: “The tremendous success we have experienced since launching reflects the strong demand from investors for intelligent investment opportunities in such a robust market.

“The equity we raised is proof of the confidence our network of investors has in us to match them with the best opportunities.”

Since its UK launch in 2014, Cogress has built up a portfolio of 29 investments and raised £82m.

Last month, David Bernstein, former chairman of the Football Association, joined the platform as a member of its advisory board.

In February, Cogress raised £1.35m in 24 hours to fund a residential development in south-west London.
