Six potential partners shortlisted for £450m Tottenham development

Haringey Council has shortlisted six companies to build a £450m development in Tottenham.

Barratt Developments, Countryside Properties UK and Taylor Wimpey UK are among the final candidates for the High Road West scheme.

The 11-hectare development will include 1,400 homes, a new business space and a public square linking White Hart Lane train station to the new Tottenham Hotspur football stadium.

Alan Strickland, cabinet member for housing, regeneration and housing at Haringey Council, said: “This is a project which will transform Tottenham and bring … thousands of new jobs to the area.

“Developments like High Road West send a clear signal that Tottenham is London's most dynamic and important regeneration area.

“The partner we select for this major project will share our vision for a development that brings huge benefits for our residents and businesses for generations to come.”

Stanhope, Lendlease Development and Linkcity are also being considered.

Located just 15 minutes from central London, High Road West will feature a park, library and a variety of restaurants.

The development comes as part of a £1bn transformation of the Tottenham area, which will see 10,000 new homes and 5,000 jobs created by 2025.

A final decision on the partner will be announced by mid-2017.
